Our first look at the upcoming Destiny 2 figures by McFarlane Toys has been released. After a couple of weeks following the sequel’s release on major consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4, fans of the online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game has another thing to look forward that will solidify their love for the Destiny franchise.
It has been three years since we were first introduced to now two-installment video game series and with the release of the sequel, the fan base of the franchise is only expected to get bigger. Thus far, initial reviews on Destiny 2 are generally favorable as it continues to perform tremendously on the sales chart nabbing both top weekly spots in the Japan and United Kingdom market following its release. Now that most of the fans are already able to enjoy our explore themselves in the expanded virtual world that the latest outing brings to the franchise, they can further immerse in the lore thanks to the upcoming tie-in toys of the title by McFarlane.
IGN has revealed out very first sneak peek on the merchandiser’s brand new Destiny 2 toy line that will feature Cayde-6, Ikora Rey, and Zavala. The detailed models of the game characters will come in 7" statues and are expected to be available for purchase sometime during the summer of next year. Each will cost at a suggested retail price of $19.99 which seems still kind of steep, but with the quality and the attention to detail that they come in, buyers would be more than happy to spend the money for these well-made models. Additionally, compared to the $200 pieces that have been earlier released, these new ones are a great buy for those who just cannot justify spending that much on toys despite them being dubbed collectibles.

Closer inspection on the toys reveals very detailed figures, which makes them resemble their video game counterparts. For example, the Cayde-6 figure also includes an Ace of Spades Hand Cannon, while Ikora Rey has the Deadpan Delivery Shotgun, and finally, Zavala is equipped with the Daedalus Assault Rifle. Additionally, collectors will be thrilled to know that each of the statues is neatly packaged on a disc base in window boxed perfect for displaying, a rare chase redeemable McFarlane Hellspawn emblem and at least 12 points of articulation.
Those who are interested in getting their hands on the aforementioned statues can go check them out first over the weekend at New York where McFarlane’s Destiny 1 figures will be on display at New York Comic-Con.
Destiny 2 is already available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One while PC gamers will have to wait a little while longer until October 24th to get their hands on the game.
